A repeat participant in the annual event, Slamka has made it a tradition to not only run, but to bring together friends and family in support of a meaningful cause.
Each year, the Tunnel to Towers 5K brings communities together to honor the legacy of firefighter Stephen Siller, a hero firefighter who died saving others on September 11th 2001. Tunnel to Towers supports programs that provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families, fallen first responder families and catastrophically injured veterans. For Stacey Slamka, the event represents more than a race — it’s an opportunity to give back, raise awareness and stand alongside others who share a commitment to service.
