November 17, 2020 — In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Diamond Mountain Retreat Center has made numerous changes on campus to ensure the safety and well-being of their staff and guests.

Diamond Mountain Retreat Center recently welcomed staff, guests and program participants back after closing in accordance with COVID-19 safety standards in the state of Arizona.  To keep connected with individuals seeking healing during the uncertain times brought on by the pandemic, DMRC hosted numerous virtual events and programs.  Topics included mindfulness motivation, alternative medicine, and how to quiet one’s mind in the middle of chaos.  Since reopening their campus, Diamond Mountain continues to host online and virtual events for anyone interested in trying out renewal and relaxation techniques from the comfort of their own homes.

Since reopening, Diamond Mountain Retreat Center has shaped a safety plan for how they will prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading on campus.  Here is a breakdown of DMRC’s ‘Healthy Hygiene Commitment’ pandemic policies and precautions:

  • Common Areas Are Closed

At this time, all common areas are closed at DMRC, in accordance with regulations set forth by the state of AZ.  This change will remain in effect until the governor officially announces that the state’s lockdown has ended.

  • Upgraded Room Cleaning Protocol

All room cleaning processes, including trash and linen removal, have been changed in order to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.  Staff members of DMRC are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting cottages.  Room cleaning takes place both prior to arrival and post departure.  For added safety, rooms are to remain unoccupied between guests for a minimum of four days.

  • Safety & Sanitizing Stations

Throughout the Diamond Mountain Retreat Center campus, sanitizing stations are available, which provide access to hand sanitizer, wipes, gloves, face masks, eye masks, and infrared thermometers.  Staff members are also using UV light sanitizers on their cell phones each day.

  • Cancellation Changes

All cancellations that are directly due to AZ state regulations will have the cancellation fee waived.
